Why now?

Guelph is changing fast. The cost of housing is putting pressure on family budgets. City services are stretched and infrastructure needs attention. People want decisions they can understand and leadership that will turn good intentions into real improvements.

Guelph deserves leadership with experience, compassion, and the courage to change what is not working.  We need to build a livable, inclusive city. And we need to invest wisely so Guelph remains a place where we can all build a future.

Why Leanne?

I've spent my years as a councillor listening to residents — not just the ones who show up at meetings, or the ones who are loudest— but all of you. That's my job. And that's what I'll continue to do as your mayor. Every major decision will include genuine consultation.

I bring something different: deep policy research, evidence-based decisions, and genuine community connection. And when I make a mistake or learn something new, I'll say so.  If a process or policy isn't working, we change it.

I’ve been a change leader, a volunteer, an entrepreneur, a mentor, a working mother, and a public servant. I know what this city asks of people in many walks of life, because I've been there.  My track record has helped to build Guelph's AAA credit rating and our ranking as one of Canada's most livable cities.
